Canadian National Portrait Gallery

There has been some arts mutterings on the news, and noteably a couple of empassioned rants from Jian Ghomeshi about the ‘molasses in january’ rate at which the Canaian Government is creating a home for the national collection of portraits.

I’ve taken a quick look at the gallery online and have learned so much already about our history and the things we should be so proud, ashamed, and in awe of.

This would be a great resource for social studies research or to highlight a significant person relating to a Canadian history lesson. Check it out!
